Covid Guidelines

First Steps Postpartum Care focuses on the health and safety of the community they serve.  Our Covid 19 policy meets the guidelines for the prevention of the transmission of respiratory viruses.  First Steps agrees with the CDC guidelines on Immunization, that everyone eligible receives the Covid-19 vaccine.  The following procedures will be followed while working in your home to help minimize risk to your family. 

• We show up in fresh clothes, just for your support.

• We will remove our shoes and wash our hands for a minimum of 20 seconds upon arrival, and will keep up with vigorous hand-washing throughout our time in your home. 

• We will wear a mask when providing any close contact care for your family (meal prep, sibling care, breastfeeding guidance that requires your doula to be within 6 feet of you).
